Role Description
This is a contract remote role for a Lighting Artist at Chakrra LLC. The Lighting Artist will be responsible for look development, computer graphics, lighting, shading, and compositing. The role requires creativity and attention to detail to create visually appealing content.
Qualifications
• Understanding of light levels and characters according to defined quality standards, artistic styles, technical parameters and production goals.
• Ensure consistency in lighting, color balance and mood between the various elements of a shot or scene.
• Knowledge of camera layout and basic animation a HUGE BONUS.
• Ability to balance individual elements to enable the compositors to produce a convincing image.
• Work with the team to implement post process effects such as but not limited to bloom, ambient occlusion, depth of field, and color correction.
• High proficiency in using Maya and Arnold or any other lighting/texturing/compositing software.

have good problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Work collaboratively with other artists, designers and engineers on a daily basis, have good team- working skills
• Work independently or in small groups to troubleshoot and provide solutions to production issues related to asset creation and migration across platforms Should have a “can do” attitude that is solution-oriented and willing to put in the extra effort required to get projects done on time and executed at the highest level of quality
• Take directions humbly and be willing to address constructive feedback
• Work with minimum supervision
• Deliver on schedule, working calmly and efficiently under pressure
• Demonstrate proficiency in technical troubleshooting and meeting aggressive performance targets
• Participate in R&D efforts to develop new techniques and improve the art pipeline
• Work closely with the Animation director and concept artists to fine tune and request additional details.
