Role Description
This can be a remote position for the right candidate and as a Creative Researcher, you’ll play a vital role in uncovering the threads of history, culture, and data that support our storytelling, content development, and creative direction. You'll work closely with the Founder and team to ensure our narratives and projects are grounded in well-sourced, accurate, and compelling information.
In this role you will be doing:
Data Collection, Source Analysis and Research Support:
Investigate and interpret primary and secondary sources (documents, letters, artifacts, etc.) with a critical eye for relevance and accuracy.
Conduct comprehensive literature reviews across multiple media formats, synthesizing research from books, archives, digital sources, and interviews.
Organize and structure findings chronologically or thematically to create a clear, logical narrative flow.
Evaluate the credibility and reliability of sources and cross-check findings for consistency.
Analyze research data to identify patterns, connections, and insights that inform larger projects.
Support the Founder with preparatory research tasks, including background briefs, document organization, and occasional phone interviews.
Maintain clean, detailed records of sources and references to support transparency and traceability.
Write and Communicate:
Write clear and concise research summaries, reports, and reference documents for use in script development, production briefs, and creative decks.
Translate complex findings into accessible insights tailored for writers, directors, and other creative collaborators.
Draft and edit interview questions, research outlines, and internal communications related to film development.
Help shape visual or historical context documents that support storyboarding, world-building, or character design.
